Leona Louise (born 3 April , 1986) is a British performer, actress an activist, actor, and singer. She was born and raised in the London Borough Of Islington she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis achieved national recognition when she won the third season of The X Factor in 2006 and was awarded the PS1 million recording contract in partnership with Syco Music. The winner's song, an original cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" reached #1 for 4 weeks on the UK Singles Chart and broke the world record for 50k digital downloads in thirty minutes. Clive Davis's label, J Records, signed Lewis to a contract for five albums with J Records in the United States. The success continued for Lewis when she released her debut album Spirit (2007). It received platinum certification in the UK and became the fourth most-sold album in the 2000s. According to the Official Charts Company claims that Spirit was the 21st-century's best-selling debut album by a female. Its first single, "Bleeding Love", went on to chart for seven weeks in the UK. 1 in the UK and was the best-selling single of the year. The song was also the highest-selling single sold in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award the next year. Echo was her second studio album. The album also featured the song "I Have You in My Eyes" to accompany Avatar. Lewis' single "Collide," was made in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii and she also dropped Hurt: the EP, her debut extended performance. Glassheart (2012) is her 3rd studio album. Her inspiration came from electronic music and dubstep. When she was on the Glassheart Tour in 2013, she started recording music for her first Christmas album. The following year, her Christmas with Love was released, and included the title track "One more time", reached number three in the UK. Through this chart entry, Lewis became the first British single female to break into the top five with eight singles. This was more than Olivia Newton-John's record which was seven.
