Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely popular American singer and actor. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), a nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. She is the daughter of a Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from the age of a child. She was just 12 when she appeared at her first audition, and was able to win the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother before the age of 13 and was cast as a model for newspapers and television commercials. In addition, she is beginning private acting lessons. Bell was in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a part of the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. In her school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was chosen to play Dorothy. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduation. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and only the credits show her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
