Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she received the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. She speaks fluently French, German English, and Romanian. Her father was an actor as well as her mother a violinist. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. She starred as a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and two days (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) and was given with the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she appeared on the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC Mini-Series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She appeared as Irma in Fury 2014 in which she played an German known aunt for Emma.
